Betty TK1 is a stackable chair from &Tradition. It is characterized by its simple form and the special details. The chair's linen fabric seat, which is normally hidden under an upholstery, is emphasized. The designers Jakob Thau & Sami Kallio, both trained carpenters with a master's degree in design, have made it their mission to create a seating that fits into any room and is comfortable at the same time. The fabric straps, made of linen fibres, are woven by hand and perfectly adapted to the chair frame. Rounded chair legs and a slightly curved backrest complete the design and ensure a harmonious overall appearance. The chair owes its name to the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen, a wooden pavilion built in 1857.
