Rocio Egio is a trained architect who speaks through design and food. Since her early days as a young architecture student, there's been an idea that has fascinated her: design that inspires joy. Drawing inspiration from Joan Miró's color palette, Bofill's architecture, Marianne Brandt's teapot at the Bauhaus, and the Memphis movement and Ettore Sottsass, any artistic creation that caught her attention always had the common thread of making her feel infinite joy.
Over the years, Rocio work has been dedicated to this pursuit of joy. How to convey joy through images? What makes a design joyful or not? Experimenting with bright color palettes, playful shapes, pop designs, drawing inspiration from the simplicity of everyday life, geometry, and vibrant compositions. Her goal has always been to create a positive impact and bring smiles with my creations.
Recently, food has become one of her most significant sources of inspiration. When she added this ingredient to her work, her creative voice shone with more authenticity than ever. She was born and raised on the Mediterranean coast of Alicante, where sharing the table with family and friends is a weekly ritual.
Rocio love for Mediterranean cuisine, her passion for joyful designs, and her eagerness to explore different creative formats converge in these rugs collection with Chic Cham.
