The creations of the Norwegian designer, Mia Hamborg are both fun and practical. She has created the Shuffle modular table taking inspiration from the traditional wooden Scandinavian games, in which the child invents shapes by stacking the turned wooden modules on a rod. To this she adds vivid colours and a table feature as unexpected as it is obvious. Made entirely from solid turned wood and lacquered MDF, the Shuffle side table consists of a long shaft on which you freely thread, like pearls, six pieces in different shapes and colours. Like the toys that she was inspired by, the table can be arranged your way by choosing the order of the pieces so the division of colours and/or the height of the top is altered. With Shuffle, the designer, Mia Hamborg, offers a modern interpretation, full of humour from the Nordic tradition of turned wood.
